About Me

My name is Mark Saenz, and I am honored to serve on the Balcones Heights City Council - Place 4. With a fulfilling career as a dedicated Senior Process Engineer, I have developed a deep understanding of the importance of structured planning and efficient execution. My journey has been enriched by my roles and achievements, including my tenure as the Former Chairman for the Planning and Zoning Commission.  I have served on the City Council since May 2023, and I led efforts to balance the 2025 budget.

• Conduct regular audits to ensure transparency and efficiency in the use of public funds.
• Implement cost-saving measures by evaluating and optimizing city services.
• Encourage community input on budget priorities to align spending with residents' needs.

Enhancing transparency and accountability.

I will be transparent in sharing opportunities and challenges facing the city, as well as the ideas I have to seize those opportunities and meet the challenges.

• Host regular town hall meetings to discuss city issues and gather public input.
• Maintain an open-access portal for public records and city council decisions.
• Provide regular updates on city projects and initiatives through multiple communication channels.
